How to build a Windmill - Your Source for Electricity

June 17th, 2009

If you have been looking for a way to cut your electric bill, then I know you have
thought about how to build a windmill. Having your own alternative power source can
save you quite a bit on your electricity costs over time. More and more people are
starting to look for alternative energy sources. With the talk of everbody needing to go
greener for the sake of the earth’s climate and the rising energy costs it just makes
common sense to be looking at wind power. This type of energy is a clean and renewable
alternative source of supplying energy for your home. As I said before it just makes
       good sense in every way.

Lets look at having somebody do the work for you. For them to build a windmill would
probably cost somewhere between $7000 and $20000. Not a good place to start since the whole
idea is that we are trying to save money in the first place. It would take several years
to be able to break even, going that route.

So now that we have squashed that idea, our other plan of action is to build the windmill
ourselves. Hold on you say! Before you get all intimidated with such a task, just read on,
it is not as hard as it seems. You just have to get through the learning curve as in
anything else new that you have ever tried. You can build your windmill a lot cheaper and
it will pay for itself in way less time.

The first step is you will have to find you a set of detailed instructions. There are step
by step guides on the internet to help you achieve your goal. There are also websites and forums
to help you with questions you might have with your project. To get parts for your windmill
look at your local junkyards. Some of the parts can be found online cheaper than anywhere else.

So if you are really serious about how to build a windmill you can find out more
information here in this detailed guide.

Wind Energy - Your Alternative For Electrical Power

June 28th, 2009

If we are to minimize our dependance on fossil fuel than we are going to have to think outside of the box so to speak. One of those ways to declare our independance is to start thinking about wind energy. Wind power has been used for quite a long time. But it has always been an afterthought with the relative ease that we could use electricity in the house with a flip of a switch. When you have have such an easy path to all that electrical energy you don’t think much about all the damage to the earth that we are doing.

Now with the rising energy cost wind energy has come to the forefront as an alternative power source and rightfully so. With the use of turbines we can use wind as a power source. The wind turns the turbine which in turn rotates the generator which creates electricity. Now you have electicity to run your appliances. It sounds pretty simple which it isn’t as simple as I have laid it out in this article. But with the right instructions it doesn’t have to be hard either.

This is what they call a clean and renewable power source. Your taking one of the earth’s renewable resources and using it without doing any damage at all to the ecosystem. It is a win-win situation for everybody. It helps cut your electricity costs along with being a clean resource which is helping more than you could ever imagine.

To be able to curtail our need on power companies is a small step towards a greener earth. It is something that everybody is going to need to start doing if we are to turn things around. By that I mean people have got to start to think, is this healthy for the ecosystem. And if not what is the alternative. It is not going to be easy, but when is it ever easy stepping outside you comfort zone. Once you have made a habit of thinking in those terms, it will become easier. Wind energy is one of those habits which benifits everybody in the long run.

To be able to cut your electric cost we now know that wind energy is a major player in that spectrum. So to learn more about this viable option click here.
